About MNSUET

MNS University of Engineering & Technology (MNSUET) is a public sector engineering university located in Multan, Punjab, established in 2012 under the Government of Punjab. Named after Muhammad Nawaz Shareef, the university was created to address the acute shortage of engineering education capacity in southern Punjab — a region historically underserved by quality technical institutions despite its large population and significant industrial base.

MNSUET is recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and its engineering programmes are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). As a public university offering government-subsidised tuition, MNSUET provides an affordable pathway for students from Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Sahiwal, and across southern Punjab to pursue quality engineering degrees without relocating to Lahore or Islamabad.

MNSUET Grading Scale (Official 10-Grade System)

MNSUET follows the HEC 4.0 grading scale for all programmes. A+ and A are distinct grades — both carry 4.00 grade points, but A+ requires 90–100% and A requires 85–89%. This scale applies uniformly across all engineering, computer science, and management programmes.

GradeGrade PointsPercentageDescription
A+4.0090–100%Outstanding
A4.0085–89%Excellent
A-3.6780–84%Very Good

How to Calculate Your MNSUET GPA

Your semester GPA at MNSUET is calculated by multiplying each subject's grade points by its credit hours, summing all quality points, then dividing by total credit hours for the semester.

GPA Formula: GPA = ∑(Grade Points × Credit Hours) ÷ ∑Credit Hours

Example: Engineering Mechanics (3 cr, A = 4.00) + Programming Fundamentals (3 cr, B+ = 3.33) + Calculus (3 cr, A- = 3.67) + Lab (1 cr, A+ = 4.00) = (12.00 + 9.99 + 11.01 + 4.00) ÷ 10 = 3.70 GPA

How to Calculate Your MNSUET CGPA

Your Cumulative GPA (CGPA) at MNSUET is the weighted average of all semester GPAs across all 8 semesters of the BE programme, with each semester weighted by its credit hours.

CGPA Formula: CGPA = ∑(Semester GPA × Semester Credit Hours) ÷ Total Credit Hours

Use the CGPA tab above — enter each semester's GPA and credit hours for an instant cumulative result. BE programmes at MNSUET run over 4 years (8 semesters); the Final Year Project in Semester 7–8 carries significant credit weight.

Convert MNSUET CGPA to Percentage

Use the standard HEC formula to convert your MNSUET CGPA to a percentage for job applications, PEC registration, and postgraduate admissions.

Formula: Percentage = (CGPA ÷ 4.0) × 100
