This is section 7.5, "Evaluation of the candidates and Preparing Merit", on Hazara University’s admissions eligibility page. That page is no longer online, so it was read from its Internet Archive copy of September 2022. Some other sites quote "80% academic + 20% test and interview". We couldn’t find that in any Hazara University document.

Reserved seats exist for ex-FATA, special persons, Balochistan and other provinces. Quota candidates compete for merit within their own group. If two candidates have equal merit, the older one gets the seat.
Hazara University Admissions Fall 2026
- Fall 2026 applications for BS, MS/MPhil and PhD closed on 31 July 2026.
- Students waiting for their FSc result could apply for BS on their first-year marks.
- A 50% tuition scholarship was offered in selected programmes, alongside merit and need-based scholarships.
- Merit lists are published for each programme at admissions.hu.edu.pk. Each list shows the merit number and aggregate score.

Common Hazara University Merit Mistakes
- Using an 80/20 split. Hazara’s own merit rules give 10% SSC, 50% HSSC and 40% test.
- Leaving out the test. It is 40% of your merit, so a missing or low score costs a lot.
- Using full FSc totals with Part-I marks. If you apply on first-year marks, the total is 550.
- Applying to computing with under 50%. CS, SE, AI and related programmes need 50% in FSc.
