AWKUM Merit & Aggregate Calculator (Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan)

Use this free AWKUM merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission score with Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan’s own rule: 30% SSC (Matric) + 70% HSSC (Intermediate). There is no entry test, so your score depends only on your board marks.

Quick answer

AWKUM’s Semester Rules for undergraduate programmes (clause 5.7) grant admission “strictly on merit”: SSC marks ÷ total × 30 + HSSC marks ÷ total × 70. There is no entry test. A Hafiz-e-Quran gets 20 marks added to FA/FSc obtained marks. If your HSSC result is not out, AWKUM uses your first-year marks.

AWKUM Merit Formula 2026

AWKUM score = (SSC obtained ÷ SSC total × 30) + (HSSC obtained ÷ HSSC total × 70)

This comes from clause 5.7 of AWKUM’s Semester Rules and Regulations for Undergraduate Programs. It is the university’s only published undergraduate merit rule. AWKUM’s Fall 2026 advertisement lists no entry test for BS programmes, and departments may hold an interview.

Another online calculator gives AWKUM’s formula as 40% SSC + 60% HSSC. That split does not appear in AWKUM’s rules or its Fall 2026 documents, so this page uses 30/70.

How to Improve Your Chances at AWKUM

  • Apply to several programmes and quotas. Each needs its own application, but your score is the same everywhere.
  • Claim the Hafiz-e-Quran marks if you qualify; 20 marks can move you past dozens of candidates.
  • Deposit your fee on time. AWKUM gives the seat to the next candidate if you miss the deadline.
  • Watch the second and third lists. Closing scores fall as candidates decline seats.

Common AWKUM Merit Mistakes

  • Using a 40/60 or NTS-based formula. AWKUM’s rules give 30% SSC + 70% HSSC with no test.
  • Confusing AWKUM with UET Mardan. UET Mardan is a separate university that uses ETEA for engineering.
  • Adding Hafiz marks to the final score. They are added to FA/FSc obtained marks first.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only AWKUM’s merit lists are official.
