UET Mardan Merit & Aggregate Calculator

Use this free UET Mardan merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit with the formulas on UET Mardan’s own admission page: 10% SSC + 50% Intermediate + 40% ETEA for engineering, and 30% SSC + 70% Intermediate for BS Computer Science and BS English.

Quick answer

UET Mardan’s “Merit List Preparation” rules set engineering merit = 10% SSC + 50% Intermediate + 40% ETEA. BS Computer Science and BS English = 30% SSC + 70% Intermediate, with no test. If your Part-2 result is not declared, UET Mardan uses Part-1 marks. A Hafiz-e-Quran can get up to 20 extra marks after an evaluation test.

Set your target merit and we work backwards from your Matric and FSc marks to the ETEA score you need. The grid shows your merit at every score from 50% to 100% of the paper.

UET Mardan Merit Formula 2026

ProgrammeOfficial UET Mardan formulaTest
BSc Engineering (open, self-finance and reserved seats)10% SSC + 50% Intermediate + 40% entrance testETEA
BS Computer Science, BS English30% SSC + 70% IntermediateNone

UET Mardan uses “adjusted” Intermediate marks in both formulas but does not publish how the adjustment works. If your F.Sc Part-2 result has not been declared, merit is calculated on Matric, F.Sc Part-1 and ETEA. Candidates who took additional Mathematics and have no declared result are assessed on Matric, Part-1 (with Biology) and ETEA.

A Hafiz-e-Quran can get additional marks out of 20 with a Wifaq-ul-Madaris (or other HEC-recognised) certificate, after passing UET Mardan’s Hafiz-e-Quran evaluation test. Ties go to the higher HSSC marks, then the older candidate.

For engineering, ETEA is the part you can still change after your board exams, and each mark is worth 0.4 points.

How to Improve Your Chances at UET Mardan

  • Register for ETEA on time if you want engineering. It is required only for engineering.
  • Apply for the Hafiz-e-Quran test if you qualify; it is held before each merit list.
  • Confirm your seat in the first merit list. UET Mardan removes unconfirmed candidates from the next list.
  • Pre-Medical students: apply for BS Computer Science or English, which do not need ETEA.

Common UET Mardan Aggregate Mistakes

  • Using the engineering formula for BS Computer Science. BS CS and English use 30-70 with no test.
  • Confusing UET Mardan with UET Peshawar. They are separate universities with different formulas.
  • Forgetting to confirm your seat. Unconfirmed candidates are dropped from the next list.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only UET Mardan’s merit lists are official.

Frequently asked questions

What is the UET Mardan merit formula?

Engineering: 10% SSC + 50% Intermediate + 40% ETEA. BS Computer Science and BS English: 30% SSC + 70% Intermediate, with no test.

Is ETEA required for UET Mardan?

Only for engineering programmes. BS Computer Science and BS English have no entry test.

How is the UET Mardan aggregate calculated?

For engineering: SSC % × 0.10 + Intermediate % × 0.50 + ETEA % × 0.40. For example, 950/1100, 900/1100 and 70/100 give 77.55%.

Does UET Mardan use Part-1 marks?

Only if your Part-2 result has not been declared. Then merit is calculated on Matric, Part-1 and ETEA.

How many marks do Hafiz-e-Quran get at UET Mardan?

Up to 20 additional marks, after passing the Hafiz-e-Quran Evaluation Committee test with a valid certificate.

Can Pre-Medical students apply to UET Mardan?

Yes, but only for BS Computer Science and BS English.

What is the minimum percentage for UET Mardan?

60% unadjusted Intermediate marks for engineering and 50% for BS Computer Science.

Is this the official UET Mardan aggregate?

No. This is an independent calculator built from UET Mardan’s own admission pages. UET Mardan publishes the official merit lists.

How this page was checked. The merit formulas, the Hafiz-e-Quran, tie and Part-1 rules come from UET Mardan’s own “Merit List Preparation” admission page. Eligibility comes from its Programs Eligibility Criteria page, and dates from its 2026 admission schedule. All were read on 29 September 2026. The ETEA total follows the ETEA engineering format verified for this site’s UET Peshawar page and can be changed in the calculator. The other calculator page checked uses the same formulas. UET Mardan publishes no separate formula for BS Artificial Intelligence, so that programme uses the custom option. This site is independent and is not affiliated with UET Mardan.
