UET Peshawar Merit & Aggregate Calculator

Use this free UET Peshawar merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit with the formulas in UET Peshawar’s 2026-27 prospectus. Choose engineering, computer science or architecture, enter your SSC, Intermediate Part-I and ETEA marks, and see the ETEA score you need.

Quick answer

UET Peshawar’s 2026-27 prospectus sets engineering merit at 10% SSC + 40% Intermediate Part-I + 50% ETEA entrance test. BS Computer Science (all specialisations) and BS Mathematics have no entry test: merit is 40% SSC + 60% Part-I. Part-I marks are adjusted: −10 for each extra attempt (up to −20), −10 for Maths as an additional subject, and +20 for Hafiz-e-Quran.

Set your target merit and we work backwards from your SSC and adjusted Part-I marks to the ETEA score you need.

UET Peshawar Merit Formula 2026-27 by Programme

UET Peshawar’s Undergraduate Prospectus 2026-27 sets these formulas:

ProgrammeSSCInter Part-I (adjusted)Entrance testOther
BSc Engineering (all disciplines)10%40%50% ETEA—
BS Computer Science (CS, AI, Cyber Security, Data Science, Games, IoT, Robotics)40%60%None—
BS Mathematics40%60%None—
Bachelor of Architecture10%40%35% ETEA15% interview
Bachelor of Interior Design10%40% (HSSC)None30% drawing, 10% creative writing/GK, 10% interview

UET Peshawar uses your Intermediate Part-I marks, even if you finished Intermediate in 2023 or earlier. DAE applicants use their first- and second-year results. A-Level applicants use their IBCC A(S)-level equivalence. If you took Pre-Medical with additional Maths, your Maths marks replace Biology.

Part-I Marks Adjustment: Attempts, Additional Maths and Hafiz

Before calculating merit, UET Peshawar adjusts your Intermediate marks (clause 6.3):

CaseAdjustment
Each additional attempt to pass or improve Intermediate (Part-I or II)−10 marks (maximum −20)
Mathematics taken as an additional subject−10 marks
Hafiz-e-Quran who qualifies UET’s Hafiz test+20 marks

On a 550-mark Part-I, a 10-mark deduction lowers your engineering merit by about 0.73 points, and the Hafiz bonus raises it by about 1.45 points. Eligibility uses your unadjusted marks.

How to Calculate Your UET Peshawar Aggregate

Worked example: engineering

A student scores 950/1100 in SSC, 480/550 in Part-I and 70/100 in ETEA, with no adjustments.

ComponentMarksPercentageWeightagePoints
ETEA70 / 10070.00%50%35.00
Intermediate Part-I480 / 55087.27%40%34.91
SSC950 / 110086.36%10%8.64
Merit score——100%78.55%

Worked example: BS Computer Science

The same SSC and Part-I marks, no test: 86.36% × 0.40 + 87.27% × 0.60 = 34.55 + 52.36 = 86.91%.

Enter either example in the calculator above and you will get the same result.

ETEA Engineering Entrance Test 2026-27

Applicants with a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or ex-FATA domicile must sit the ETEA engineering entrance test. You get at least two chances each session, and your best result counts. Results are valid for one academic year.

PaperPhysicsMathematicsEnglishChemistry / Computer ScienceTotal
Pre-Engineering, ICS, DAE, B.Tech40351510100 MCQs
Pre-Medical40—1510 (Chemistry)65 MCQs (counted as 100%)

Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking. Applicants from other provinces can compete for 5 non-subsidised seats in each discipline through ETEA. Overseas and some reserved-seat applicants can use SAT-II (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, minimum 800) or another PEC-accredited public engineering university’s test.

UET Peshawar Eligibility Criteria 2026-27

BSc Engineering60%Intermediate (Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, or Pre-Medical with the required Maths), DAE or B.Tech
BS Computer Science (all specialisations)50%Intermediate or DAE with Maths, or Pre-Medical (plus 6 credit hours of Maths in first year)
BS Mathematics50%Intermediate, or DAE with Maths
Bachelor of Architecture60%Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical, or DAE in Architecture/Civil; ETEA required
Bachelor of Interior Design50%Intermediate or diploma; aptitude test instead of ETEA

Computer Science and Architecture admissions need a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or ex-FATA domicile. Hope certificates are accepted for result-awaited applicants, but if your final marks are lower, you move down the merit list.

UET Peshawar Merit Impact: How Much Is Each Mark Worth?

ImprovementEngineeringComputer Science
+1 ETEA mark (out of 100)+0.50 points—
+10 marks in Part-I (out of 550)+0.73 points+1.09 points
+10 marks in SSC (out of 1100)+0.09 points+0.36 points

For engineering, ETEA decides most of your merit. For Computer Science there is no test, so your Part-I and SSC results decide everything. Avoiding an extra Intermediate attempt (−10) matters there.

How to Improve Your UET Peshawar Merit

  • Take ETEA more than once. Your best result counts.
  • Focus on Physics and Maths. They are 75 of the 100 ETEA questions.
  • Answer every question. There is no negative marking.
  • Think twice about improvement exams. Each extra attempt costs 10 marks, even if your marks go up.
  • Claim the Hafiz-e-Quran bonus if eligible, by applying for UET’s Hafiz test.

Common UET Peshawar Merit Calculation Mistakes

  • Using full FSc marks. UET Peshawar uses Part-I marks for merit.
  • Adding a test for Computer Science. BS CS is 40% SSC + 60% Part-I only.
  • Dividing a Pre-Medical ETEA score by 100. The Pre-Medical paper is out of 65.
  • Using an 800-mark ETEA total. The 2026-27 engineering paper is 100 MCQs.
  • Forgetting the adjustments. Extra attempts and additional Maths each cost 10 marks.

Frequently asked questions

What is the UET Peshawar merit formula?

Engineering: 10% SSC + 40% Intermediate Part-I (adjusted) + 50% ETEA entrance test. BS Computer Science and BS Mathematics: 40% SSC + 60% Part-I, with no test.

Testing and recognition

How this page was checked. Every formula, the Part-I adjustments, the ETEA pattern, eligibility and seats come from UET Peshawar’s own Undergraduate Prospectus 2026-27 (dated 17 August 2026), linked from its official website and read in September 2026. One of the other calculator pages checked matched these formulas. Another gave no weightage and used an old 800-mark test total, which the 2026-27 prospectus replaces with a 100-MCQ paper.
