CECOS Merit & Aggregate Calculator (CECOS University, Peshawar)

Use this free CECOS merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit at CECOS University of IT & Emerging Sciences. CECOS’s Admission Regulations give every undergraduate programme the same weights: 10% SSC + 40% Intermediate + 50% entry test. The test is ETEA for engineering, an aptitude test for Architecture, and the CECOS or NTS test for the other programmes.

Quick answer

CECOS’s Regulations for Admission: 10% SSC + 40% Intermediate + 50% entry test for B.Sc Engineering, B.Architecture and all other undergraduate programmes. Engineering uses the ETEA test (or your province’s central test) and needs 60% in Pre-Engineering. Architecture has its own aptitude test. BSCS, Software Engineering, BBA and B.Tech use the CECOS or NTS test. DPT, Biotechnology and MLT also need an interview.

Enter your test score against its total (ETEA engineering is out of 400, so set the total to 400 if needed).

What Entry test score do you need?

Set your target merit and we work backwards from your Matric and FSc marks to the Entry test score you need. The grid shows your merit at every score from 50% to 100% of the paper.

CECOS Entry Test

For BSCS, Software Engineering, BBA and B.Tech, CECOS holds its own entry test on dates it announces, and also accepts the NTS test. The CECOS test covers English (40%), Mathematics/Physics (40%) and General Knowledge (20%) at Intermediate level. Engineering applicants must take ETEA, and Architecture applicants take a separate aptitude test.

Common CECOS Merit Mistakes

  • Using the CECOS test for engineering. B.Sc Engineering needs ETEA (or your province’s central test).
  • Underweighting the test. It carries 50%, more than Matric and Intermediate together.
  • Applying to engineering below 60%. PEC rules require 60% in Pre-Engineering.
  • Forgetting the interview. DPT, Biotechnology and MLT also need an admission interview.
