How IoBM Admits Students

IoBM does not publish how the test and interview are weighted, so there is no IoBM aggregate to calculate. Any “IoBM 10-50-40 formula” elsewhere is not from IoBM.

For BS Computer Science, Data Science and Software Engineering you must have studied Mathematics at HSC. Pre-Medical students can join but take two extra maths courses (6 credit hours) in the first year. These programmes also need an IBCC equivalence in Science for O/A-Level students.

IoBM also runs an Outreach Program for Pre-Engineering students with 60% from Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Sanghar, Dadu and Jamshoro. It includes free training and a tuition-free Electrical Engineering place on merit-cum-need.
Common IoBM Admission Mistakes
- Expecting an aggregate formula. IoBM selects on its test and interview, not a weighted Matric/Inter score.
- Skipping the interview preparation. IoBM calls it the most important step.
- Applying to CS without Mathematics. Students without Maths (other than Pre-Medical) are not eligible.
- Using an old SAT. SAT scores are valid for one year only.
