The test is marked out of 50. A SAT-I score of 1100/1600 or more exempts you from the test and is converted on SZABIST’s scale (1500+ = 50, 1400+ = 45, 1300+ = 40, 1200+ = 35, 1100+ = 30). An NTS NAT with 50% is also accepted. You need 50% in Intermediate (45% for some social sciences).

SZABIST Karachi and Other Campuses

This calculator follows the SZABIST University Islamabad notification. SZABIST Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and the other campuses run their own admissions, and their websites do not publish an undergraduate weightage. Every SZABIST campus requires an admission test and interview. Check your campus’s notification before relying on these numbers.

Common SZABIST Merit Mistakes

  • Ignoring the interview. It is worth 30%, more than your academic marks.
  • Using a 50-50 academic and test formula. SZABIST Islamabad gives academics only 20%.
  • Converting SAT-I as a percentage. SZABIST uses fixed bands (for example, 1300–1399 = 40 out of 50).
  • Sending a SAT-I score below 1100. It does not exempt you from the test.
