IBA Karachi Merit Calculator (Aptitude Test Cut-offs)

Use this IBA Karachi merit calculator to check your admission chance at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. IBA does not combine Matric and Intermediate marks into an aggregate. It admits on Aptitude Test (or SAT) cut-offs, set for each programme and round, followed by an interview where applicable. The checker compares your section scores with IBA’s published Fall 2026 cut-offs.

Quick answer

IBA’s Admission Policy: “The cut-off for individual programs in the Aptitude Test will be decided by the Admissions Committee using rigorous methods based on statistical analysis.” You must clear the Aptitude Test (Math out of 176 + English out of 180) or get an exemption through SAT. Then you clear the group discussion and interview where applicable, and meet the academic minimum (65% HSSC for business, 60% for CS and Maths). There are no quotas.

How IBA Karachi Admits Students

  • Apply online and register for the Aptitude Test (one test for both campuses).
  • Qualify the Aptitude Test, which covers quantitative and analytical skills, logical reasoning, reading comprehension and grammar. Alternatively, apply for exemption with SAT, ACT, GMAT or GRE scores.
  • Group discussion and interview where applicable. Some candidates are admitted directly on their test score.
  • Meet the academic minimum and submit your mark sheets.

IBA has no quota or reserved seats, and does not fill seats just to fill them. There is no minimum SAT score for exemption: only the top SAT scorers are admitted directly or called for interview, so IBA advises taking its own test as well.

  • Relying on SAT alone. There is no guaranteed SAT exemption score; only the top SAT scorers are selected.
  • Missing the 9 December deadline. Round 1 forms for Fall 2027 close on 9 December 2026.
