FMDC Merit & Aggregate Calculator (Federal Medical College, SZABMU)

Use this free FMDC merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your MBBS or BDS merit for Federal Medical College Islamabad (formerly the Federal Medical & Dental College), which admits through Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU). SZABMU’s official criteria under the PM&DC 2025 regulations are 10% Matric + 40% FSc + 50% MDCAT. Applications for 2026-27 are open until 30 October 2026.

Quick answer

SZABMU’s Merit Determination Criteria: MDCAT 50% + F.Sc (Pre-Medical)/HSSC 40% + SSC/Matric 10%. You need at least 55% in MDCAT for MBBS (50% for BDS) and 60% in HSSC. Federal Medical College has 100 MBBS seats, but only 6 are open merit. Most seats are reserved by domicile (Punjab 29, ICT 25), so you compete mainly within your own quota.

Common FMDC Merit Mistakes

  • Dropping Matric from the formula. SZABMU counts Matric at 10%.
  • Counting on open merit. Only 6 of 100 MBBS seats are open merit, so your domicile quota matters most.
  • Missing the deadline. The 2026-27 portal closes on 30 October 2026.
  • Applying with less than 55% MDCAT for MBBS. You are not eligible on merit.

SZABMU admissions

How this page was checked. The 10-40-50 merit criteria, the MDCAT and HSSC minimums, the quota rules and the seat allocations come from SZABMU’s own MBBS/BDS admissions page, read on 20 October 2026. The 2026-27 dates and fee come from a 19 October 2026 report of SZABMU’s admission notice. Of the other calculator pages checked, Premeth uses 50% FSc + 50% MDCAT without Matric, which contradicts SZABMU, and an older 2015 page asks only for FSc marks. This site is independent and is not affiliated with SZABMU.
