UOS Merit & Aggregate Calculator (University of Sargodha)

Use this free University of Sargodha (UOS) merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit with the weightage in UOS’s own Admission Regulations and Prospectus 2026. Most BS programmes use 40% Matric + 60% Intermediate with no test; engineering programmes add an entry test.

Quick answer

UOS Admission Regulations (4.1.1): merit of all undergraduate programmes is 60% terminal degree (Intermediate) + 40% Matric. The College of Engineering & Technology uses its own splits: BSc Engineering = 17% Matric + 50% HSSC + 33% PEC entry test (e.g. ECAT), and Engineering Technology = 70% HSSC + 30% entry test. A Hafiz-e-Quran gets 20 marks added to merit after passing the UOS Hifz test.

UOS Admission Rules You Should Know

  • Part-I admission is provisional. You can apply with Part-I marks while Part-II is awaited; admission is confirmed on the full result.
  • Hafiz-e-Quran: attach your certificate with the online form and pass the UOS Hifz Committee test to get 20 marks.
  • Age limit: 26 years on the last date of applications (24 for students admitted after Intermediate in any UOS discipline), with some exceptions.
  • Ties go to the older candidate.
  • Self-finance seats: 10 per undergraduate programme, at Rs. 100,000 per year above the normal fee.
  • Engineering Technology requires at least 50% overall adjusted admission marks.
  • LLB applicants must pass HEC’s Law Admission Test (LAT) with at least 50%. It is a qualifying test only; merit is still 40% Matric + 60% Intermediate.

What Each Mark Is Worth at UOS

ImprovementBS (40-60)BSc Engineering (17-50-33)
+10 Intermediate marks (out of 1100)+0.55 points+0.45 points
+10 Matric marks (out of 1100)+0.36 points+0.15 points
+10 ECAT marks (out of 400)—+0.83 points

For BS programmes, Matric counts for 40%, more than at most universities, so a strong Matric result matters here.

Common UOS Merit Mistakes

  • Using an NTS-based formula for BS. UOS BS programmes use 40% Matric + 60% Intermediate with no test.
  • Using 70-30 for BSc Engineering. That split is for Engineering Technology; BSc Engineering is 17-50-33.
  • Adding Hafiz marks without the Hifz test. UOS gives them only after its committee’s test.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only UOS’s merit lists are official.
