KICSIT Merit & Aggregate Calculator (IST Sub-Campus, Kahuta)

Use this free KICSIT merit and aggregate calculator to calculate your admission merit at Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Computer Sciences & IT, Kahuta. KICSIT is a sub-campus of the Institute of Space Technology (IST) and publishes no separate merit weightage, so this calculator uses IST’s own Merit Determination Criteria and KICSIT’s Fall 2026 eligibility rules.

Quick answer

KICSIT’s Fall 2026 admission form calls it a sub-campus of IST, but neither KICSIT nor IST says which formula applies to each KICSIT programme. IST’s published formulas are Engineering: 20% Matric + 40% FSc Part-1 + 40% entry test, and Computing/Science: 40% Matric + 60% FSc Part-1 (no test). For BSCE, KICSIT requires 60% in Matric and FSc and at least 33% in an IST-accepted entry test.

IST uses FSc Part-1 marks, so the total is set to 550. Enter your entry test score (NTS, NAT, USAT, ECAT, NET and so on) against its total.

What Entry test score do you need?

Set your target merit and we work backwards from your Matric and FSc marks to the Entry test score you need. The grid shows your merit at every score from 50% to 100% of the paper.

Computing / ScienceMatric 40% + FSc Part-1 60% (no test)Matric/O-Level 100%

These are IST’s Merit Determination Criteria. IST’s website lists KICSIT as its sub-campus, and KICSIT’s Fall 2026 admission form calls itself “Sub-Campus of Institute of Space Technology (IST)”. KICSIT publishes eligibility rules but no separate merit weightage, so treat this as the closest official formula and confirm with KICSIT’s admission office (admissions@kicsit.edu.pk).

Pre-Medical students admitted to BSCS must take two extra mathematics courses (6 credit hours) in the first year. Pre-Medical students can apply for BSCE after an 8-week condensed mathematics course. Accepted DAE fields for BSCE include Computer Information Technology, Computer, Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Software, Radar, Automation, Radio and Instrumentation.

KICSIT Seats, Intakes and Fees

  • BSCS: up to 100 seats a year, with intakes in Spring and Fall.
  • BSCE: up to 40 seats a year, Fall only.
  • Application fee: Rs. 2,000, paid at Askari Bank (account 01761650500136, KICSIT-KRL Kahuta) or by Easypaisa. The NTS test fee is extra if you take the test through KICSIT.
  • Fee categories: children of KRL/SPD employees and others, with a service certificate needed for the KRL/SPD category.
  • Facilities: pick-and-drop transport and hostel registration are available.

Entry Tests Accepted

IST does not run its own entry test. It accepts NAT (NTS), USAT (HEC), NET (NUST), ECAT (UET), ETEA, the MUET and NED tests, or ACT. KICSIT’s form also lets you sit an NTS test arranged by KICSIT. For BSCE you need at least 33% in whichever accepted test you use.

Common KICSIT Merit Mistakes

  • Using full FSc marks. IST’s formula uses FSc Part-1.
  • Applying to BSCE with less than 60%. Matric and FSc must both be 60% or more.
  • Skipping the test for BSCE. You need at least 33% in a test that IST accepts.
  • Treating this as KICSIT’s confirmed formula. KICSIT has not published its own weightage, so confirm with the admission office.

Frequently asked questions

What is the KICSIT merit formula?

KICSIT publishes no weightage of its own. As an IST sub-campus, the closest official formula is IST’s: engineering 20% Matric + 40% FSc Part-1 + 40% test, and computing 40% Matric + 60% FSc Part-1.

Is KICSIT part of IST?

Yes. KICSIT’s Fall 2026 admission form describes it as a “Sub-Campus of Institute of Space Technology (IST)”, and IST’s website lists KICSIT as its sub-campus.

What is the minimum entry test score for KICSIT BSCE?

33% in an entry test accepted by IST, together with 60% in Matric and 60% in FSc Pre-Engineering, ICS or a relevant DAE.

Admissions

How this page was checked. Eligibility, seats and fees come from KICSIT’s Fall 2026 BS admission form, its Computer Engineering prospectus and its admissions page. The weightages come from IST’s Merit Determination Criteria. KICSIT is an IST sub-campus and publishes no separate formula, and IST does not say which route each KICSIT programme follows, so the page labels them as IST’s. All were read on 19 October 2026. The only other source found was an old, undated user upload on Scribd. This site is independent and is not affiliated with KICSIT or IST.
