Common UCP Merit Mistakes

  • Using 10-45-45 for engineering. BSc Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Engineering use 17-50-33.
  • Using a 10-50-40 split. That is not UCP’s published criteria.
  • Skipping the admission test. Every applicant must pass it.
  • Confusing merit with scholarship. Scholarships depend on your Intermediate marks alone, not your merit.
  • Treating the estimate as final. Only UCP’s merit lists are official.

UCP admissions

How this page was checked. The merit formulas and eligibility come from the “Selection Criteria” on UCP’s own programme pages (BS CS, BBA, Pharm-D, DPT, Robotics and the four BSc Engineering programmes). Test dates come from UCP’s approved Admissions Calendar Fall 2026, and scholarship tiers from its Scholarships Policy (Fall 2025). All were read on 29 September 2026. Of the other pages checked, one uses the same 10-45-45 split but leaves out engineering’s 17-50-33, and one has no working calculator. This site is independent and is not affiliated with the University of Central Punjab.
