For engineering you must sit an ETEA, NTS or ETC engineering test, but it is not weighted. BS Law lists add test marks, and 70% academic + 30% test matches most of them.

Example from Gomal’s own list: SSC 94.73% and HSSC 89.67% give 28.42 + 62.77 = 91.19 (BS Accounting & Finance). The few rows that do not match are spread across programmes and are probably Hafiz marks or corrections. Gomal does not publish a separate merit-formula document.

Gomal Eligibility and Admission 2026
- Electrical Engineering: Intermediate Pre-Engineering (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) with at least 60% unadjusted marks, plus an ETEA, NTS, ETC or other PEC-recognised engineering entrance test (valid for one year).
- LL.B (5 years): Intermediate (Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, D.Com or FA) with at least 45%.
- Fall 2026 dates: applications closed 21 September 2026 (extended); 2nd merit list 24 September; 3rd merit list 5 October (fee 5–7 October); 1st self-finance list for DVM and Pharm-D 9 October 2026 (fee 9–13 October).
- Regional merit: lists are prepared separately for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Balochistan, ex-FATA and All-Pakistan open merit.

Common Gomal Merit Mistakes
- Adding the engineering test to merit. Gomal’s Electrical Engineering list uses only SSC and HSSC; the test is a requirement.
- Using one closing merit for everyone. Gomal ranks by regional category, so your category’s list matters.
- Missing the fee window. Each merit list has a short fee deposit period (often 3–5 days).
- Treating the law formula as official. It matches Gomal’s list, but Gomal has not published the rule.
